All smiles after rehearsal. Bringing “Dare You to Move” to life for @danceatlanta’s A.M. Collaborative program !What would your paintings say, if you gave them a voice ?
This was the *very* interesting 6th prompt from my online @udemy art therapy course. I was a little intimidated when I first started the task, but totally into it, once the thoughts started to unfold. 😃Confrontation ! ... between characters 1 & 3...
“Dare You to Move” is a trio piece, set alongside story and poetry, as a part of @danceatlanta’s A.M. Collaborative program.“galaxies” …
…a poem from my book, A Branch, A Few WordsThankful for a lot of things, but most especially my painting, signing baby. 😊
I hope you’re all having a wonderful holiday season... and that you have a chance to make something colorful soon, too.“We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another.” ~ Luciano De Crescenzo

This is from last week, getting ready for our Peace Day Celebration 2021 at @aatmadance. We raised over $400 via tickets sales for @peaceoneday_official.Teaching brings me such joy and I am so delighted to be guiding and empowering the students at Peachtree Gym. 💞
•Repost from @peachtree.dance•🌸 In the busyness of life and work schedules and family responsibilities, it’s important to stop, breathe, and reflect. @danceatlanta has given us an excellent chance to do so, by pairing us up in the A.M. Collaborative program. Introduced to another artist, we now have the opportunity to make something new together, something that would not have existed prior to this program. Instilled with the energy of possibility, we feel refocused, refreshed, and excited to respond to each other. Shannon and I are thinking of combining words and movement together in a multi-dimensional performance art piece. I am so thankful for the first round of A.M. Collab last fall and am so grateful to DanceATL for bringing Shannon and I together this year.
☮️ Happy International Day of Peace !! ☮️
We celebrated last weekend with our show at Aatma Dance Studio, bringing together dancers, musicians, singers, poets, painters, photographers, and choreographers—all with the aim of creating more peace and joy in the world by sharing our stories.
The feeling was magical. 💫Inspired by @banana__babe ‘s favorite song lyrics, “Take these broken wings and learn to fly.”
Also, wings are really hard to draw. lol
