Healing Creations : An Art Class

 

Healing Creations is an art class where the emphasis is not on the skill level or intricacy of the production, 

but on the journey into YOUR inner world.

We explore our emotions, dive into memories, let old wounds resurface and current moods appear.

We simply take the time to notice. To stop and breathe. To feel.

And then to CREATE.

If you think your classroom, faculty, administrative staff, or family would enjoy these creative explorations, I encourage you to reach out to me and we can set up a time and date for that event.

Currently, all classes are held on Zoom, usually Saturdays, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.

We use household items to make the artwork and all creations are unique to each individual.

In a COVID-19 World

In response to a prompt by Dance Atlanta on Instagram, I answered the question :

"What are you doing creatively during quarantine ?"

In addition to dancing and choreographing, painting has been my go-to activity 

to find my center, refocus, and chill. 

The name of this company, Can I Color Now Studios, is drawn directly from the belief 

that creativity is powerful and can change us. 

If this year, this month, this day, this moment has been crazy for you--

pick up that paint set, that pen, that book you've been waiting to start, 

that camera, whatever it is !, just DO THE THING. 

Go and find yourself in your art. 

Let's create something beautiful together.

NACHMO Atlanta 2020 Showcase

Last month, I had the privilege of performing with other local artists at the very first 

NACHMO Atlanta showcase. NAtional CHoreography MOnth is a movement across social media 

that aims to inspire movement with daily prompts and help connect 

local creatives with each other. 

Thank you, Tori Vincent, for being so brave and initiating the Atlanta Hub—it really brought 

such a diverse group of people together for this very cool event. 

And a special thank you to my husband and my mother-in-law for entertaining 

the tiny human that attended with us !
